REQUEST PROCEDURE

Videos/DVDs can be reserved by calling our office between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. You may also request videos/DVDs via fax, letter or e-mail. Our e-mail address is scosc1@bellsouth.net. When reserving your company’s videos/DVDs via fax, letter or e-mail, please make sure that you include your name, your company’s name, shipping address, phone number and the dates that you will need the videos/DVDs. Try to request videos/DVDs as far in advance as possible to insure that your selection will be available for the specific date. Many of our popular videos/DVDs are booked for the entire year. When requesting videos/DVDs, please have two alternate choices and the dates you plan to use the videos/DVDs. We do place a limit of 4 videos/DVDs per request for a maximum of 30 days. Leader Guides have been written and printed by the video/DVD companies to be used as a teaching aid with the videos/DVDs. The programs are well outlined and easy to use. You will only receive the Leaders Guides when you request them.

The video/DVD is expected to be shipped back to us on the day before the date on your statement. The date on the statement is the day the video/DVD should be in the Council office, not the shipping date. If you wish for an extension, call the office to see if it can be arranged. DO NOT keep the videos/DVDs longer without our approval. We hold the right to charge you and/or your company a $5.00 late fee for EACH day the video/DVD's have not been returned. It is your responsibility to see that the video/DVD and any enclosed materials are returned to us on time. Please check behind your mail room or shipping department. Most of these videos/DVDs are on tight schedules between companies. If your schedule changes and the booked video/DVD are not needed, please call and cancel the video/DVD so that it might be made available to another company. Please rewind videos before returning them to the Council.

SHIPPING

We ship all videos/DVDs via FedEx and request that they be returned to us by FedEx, or another traceable means such as UPS. If videos/DVDs are mailed through the U.S. Mail, it takes twice as long to get back to our office. Please take this delay into account when returning them to us. When videos/DVDs are mailed or shipped back to our office, they should be insured (suggested value is $500.00 per video). Your company will be responsible for replacing all lost or damaged videos/DVDs .

CARE

Videos and the DVDs are expensive. Use care in handling.

Do not allow inexperienced personnel to handle the videos/DVDs.

Do not use faulty or dirty equipment.

Do not keep the videos or DVDs near any heat source. Heat causes deterioration.

Please rewind videos after use and inform us of any defects in the videos.

WARNING: Federal law provides severe and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction or exhibition of copyrighted motion pictures, video tapes, or video discs (DVDs). All DVDs and some videos are encoded with MACROVISION, an anti-copying process. To ensure best play, your VCR must be directly connected to your TV or monitor. Use of two or more VCR’s linked together could result in distorted playback.
