2006 Distinguished Service Award
Philip E. Cromer is this year's Distinguished Service Award recipient. He has worked more than 20 years in the field of workplace safety. At his company, he serves as Risk & Safety Services Manager with responsibility for the safety of 8,000 to 9,000 employees at over 100 cities/towns that are members. He is credited with a number of innovative service ideas, including the RMS Report Cards, Minimum Guidelines for Municipal Members, Training Initiatives, and the Municipal Risk Management Manual.
He has been an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, South Carolina Public Risk & Insurance Managers Association, South Carolina Occupational Safety Council and the National League of Cities - Risk & Insurance Information Sharing Consortium.
